SparkyLinux 5.5 开发版本已经发布，该版本仍然基于 Debian GNU/Linux 稳定发行版，同时采用最新的 Linux kernel 4.17.8 内核构建，当前已经提供32/64位ISO下载。SparkyLinux 是一款轻量级、快速、易于使用的 Linux 发行版，它设计开发的理念是让所有老旧的、新式的计算机都能用上绝佳的 Linux 系统，同时它还定制 Enlightenment 和 LXDE 桌面环境。SparkyLinux 5.5 版本还包括了来自 Debian 测试分支的更新、支持 Timeshift 功能、改进的文件系统，支持 Btrfs 和 XFS。
